Tomorrows media
The world of media develops at the pace of technological innovation. Digital, high definition, mobile phones,
interactivity and blogs are each day broadening the scope and possibilities of media. CFI’s partners can hardly escape dealing with these trends, especially since, often, in countries where analogue TV had only replaced radio in built-up areas with a decent electricity supply, new technologies are shaking the entire scene up.
In an increasingly competitive environment, CFI is helping the traditional media to prepare for and introduce the
switch to multimedia. In autumn 2009, CFI was called on by the ABU (Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union) to send four experts from France Télévisions and the French audiovisual institute (INA) to lead a regional workshop focussing on the organisation of a digital newsroom, during which the French approach to these issues was thus highlighted.
