Iraqi journalists are in training for covering the elections

Quatre ateliers ont réuni 28 journalistes et formateurs de décembre 2017 à mars 2018 à Beyrouth.

Participants, from across Iraq, learnt how to provide training in the essentials of journalistic coverage over an election period. On the programme: the institutional and administrative framework of the elections; making editorial teams more professional & ethics; verification and identification of "fake news"; and computer graphics as a teaching tool.

Later on, but still as part of the Tasalah project, some of the attendees trained their peers at workshops in Iraq prior to the poll on 12 May.
These workshops were a response to a dual objective: consolidating journalism's role as a key element in promoting better governance; and investing in lasting training tools to enhance Iraq's human resources.
