“Online media outlets: How can they grow their audience and find new sources of income?”

From 7 to 11 September 2015, CFI will be welcoming the four media outlets involved in the 4M Caucasus project at the Multimedia Education Center in Tbilisi, where they will have five days to share their thoughts and opinions on the issues affecting them.

CFI launched 4M Caucasus – a project for supporting and fostering professionalism amongst four online newspapers in the Caucasus region – following the 4M Tbilisi Forum in November 2013. For 18 months, Netgazeti (Georgia), Hetq, Civilnet (both Armenia) and Charter97 (Belarus) could thus call on the expertise of the advisers and journalists who had been placed within their editorial teams.

For this group meeting of the 4M Caucasus project, seven experts from CFI (Pierre Boucaud, Julien Le Bot, Cédric Motte, Olivier Laurelli, Cyrille Frank, Yann Guégan and Robb Montgomery)willdraw up an assessment and measure the results of the initiatives that have been rolled out since the beginning of 2014 with these four media outlets.

The event will also give the 16 professionals attending the opportunity to exchange their views and learn more about specific issues such as Internet security, social network strategies, the launch of mobile editing, and the like.
