#PAGOF in Tunis in November

#PAGOF in Tunis in November

The first regional seminar for the #PAGOF project is to be held on 22 and 23 November of this year in Tunis. It will enable French-speaking African countries to come together and focus on Open Government and to discuss good practices associated with the OGP. It will bring together participants from civil society (including the media) and government in the relevant countries in question, along with international stakeholders in the open government sphere.

This seminar has three main objectives:

  1. To promote and share on a regional level the good practices and successful experiences of open government in the countries that are already members of the OGP and benefit from #PAGOF, namely Tunisia, Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire, with this being targeted at countries which wish to join;
  2. To create a dynamic and a knock-on effect encouraging other French-speaking African countries towards the OGP, in particular helping them to achieve the criteria for membership of the OGP;
  3. To share tools of open government in French which may usefully be supplemented and replicated in all countries.

This event is organised as part of #PAGOF (Project in Support of Open Governments in French-speaking Africa), which is implemented jointly by CFI and Expertise France on the basis of financing from the Agence Française de Développement.
