4M AsiaThe development of the Indonesian local news aggregator of the AJI (Alliance of Independent Journalists of Indonesia) is entering a new phase.
In order to prepare for its pre-launch, the AJI and CFI are going to carry out a series of training sessions in July for the local contributors to the aggregator. Sabine Torrès, who has been assisting the AJI for CFI since the start of the project, is going to work with the local contributors and media outlets that are members of the AJI, in Bali, Solo (Java) and Lampung (Sumatra).
Together, they will address writing for the site as well as technical and commercial aspects of their contributions.

Finally, following these sessions, the management team of www.independen.id will finalise the pre‑launch of the site scheduled for 12 August 2016 in Jakarta.
A subsequent local training session will take place in the autumn before the official launch of the site during the AJI's annual media festival in November.
