VivaTech: CFI involved in the launch of Digital Africa

The Digital Africa association was inaugurated on the occasion of the opening of the VivaTech show on AFD's AfricaTech pole.

Held in Paris from 24 to 26 May 2018, the exhibition was devoted to technological innovation and start-ups, bringing together 8,000 start-ups from 103 countries.
80,000 people took part in the event and nearly 1,500 journalists were accredited.

The event saw the President of France Emmanuel Macron inaugurate the Digital Africa, association on Thursday 24 May in the presence of the 12 founding members, including the AFD (French Development Agency) and CFI.
The media development agency CFI has replicated its call for applications platform model for the benefit of the association.

The website provides future African candidates with a digital tool to respond tocalls for projects https://digital-africa.tech.

Digital Africa is an open and inclusive innovation initiative, in the spirit of the "Commons", that aims to promote African entrepreneurial drive, boost innovation through digital technology and support the emergence of entrepreneurs.

Through its label, Digital Africa federates African innovation initiatives and ecosystems with the aim of supporting them by providing access to business resources and opportunities, and links them up with European innovation ecosystems to enable them to conceive the future together.
