New strategy for TV channels in the region
In November, CFI held a meeting in Paris with the managers of state and commercial TV channels from the Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Asia, in order to put forward its new cooperation strategy for the region.
CFI held a two-day meeting to present its new approach to cooperation for TV partners from TV Klan (Albania), H1 and Ararat TV (Armenia), Lider TV and ITV (Azerbaijan), BHRT (Bosnia-Herzegovina), HRT and TV SLJEME-Z1 (Croatia), GPB (Georgia), RTK (Kosovo), MRTV (Macedonia), RTCG (Montenegro), RTS Digital and RTV Voivodine (Serbia), NTCU (Ukraine) and VTV and Ho Chi Minh TV (Vietnam).
CFI’s aim is to support these TV channels as they gradually move towards self-reliance, especially by helping them develop direct contacts with French programme distributors. As well as initial funding for programme acquisition, and suitable, customised supervision (consulting for schedules and choosing programmes) in the field.
