Innovate Africa – Entrepreneurs Sign up to the laboratory for tomorrow’s media!

CFI is on the lookout for 12 African online media projects to help nurture and then showcase to investors.

Have you developed a media project in French-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa? Are you up to speed with audiences switching over to digital and mobile forms of media, and looking to move on to the next step of making your operations more professional and long-term? If so, CFI is on hand to help you develop and grow.

The chosen candidates will join up with the 12 other winners of CFI's Innovate Africa project – an initiative that aims to promote the emergence of a new generation of media and help young African professionals in the sector to create and develop innovative information products and services in line with advances in technology, usage and the expectations of the continent's citizens.

Fast-track programme in Dakar

The 12 chosen candidates will receive online support and guidance for two months, before travelling to Dakar in Autumn 2016 for a one-week training session attended by African and European mentors, in order to help them structure and develop their media project further.

Pitching the projects to investors in Abidjan

After the development phase, the leaders of the best eight projects will have the opportunity to receive online coaching on how to present their project in the best possible light and convince others of its worth, before pitching it to potential investors at a meeting in Abidjan.

Project leaders wishing to apply to the Innovate Africa – Entrepreneurs initiative must complete the online application form available on www.ac.cfi.fr and submit it by no later than 7 August 2016.
