Mideast Tunes launches its online radio station

On 4 December 2015 Mideast Tunes, a winner of the European Union-funded Ebticar project, launched its online radio platform Mideast Tunes Radio and its flagship broadcast Off-Tunes.

Mideast Tunesis an online music platform that is already very popular with its audience in the Middle East and North Africa, with an estimated 150,000 listeners in the region.
Keen to find new talent and convinced that music can be a tool for fostering social progress and defending freedoms, the Mideast Tunes team has already enabled several hundreds of independent musicians to spread the word about their work as artists and their commitment to human rights.

Assisted by funding from the European Union awarded under the Ebticar project, in early December Mideast Tunes launched its online radio service under the name Mideast Tunes Radio, featuring its flagship weekly show Off-Tunes.
Combining interviews, soundtracks, selected songs and ballads, Off-Tunes showcases the cultural diversity of the region and addresses rarely discussed issues with the programme's various guests.
Migration, identity, culture, sexuality and, of course, music are all on the agenda.

The Mideast Tunes Radioplatform also hosts other shows which are available to listen to as podcasts, including broadcasts by Radio Souriali, Radio Grenouille,Radio Sawt (Lebanon) and theMessage to Syria Initiative.
