24 hours in the life of a newsroom, sharing skills for free

24 hours in the life of a newsroomis a website provided by ESJ Lille and CFI for all news professionals and hopefuls. This set of practical fact-sheets describes 24 key situations encountered by journalists in each media, providing easy access to the most widespread techniques, constraints and practices. These factsheets are not intended to replace training courses leading to qualifications. They are designed to provide back-up for the smooth accomplishment of work and as a refresher for certain practices.

The four sets of 24 factsheets set out the various stages in the production of news, respectively in the newsrooms of a radio station, a TV channel, a newspaper and an online news website. This tool is the product of CFI's and ESJ Lille's know-how with respect to training journalists, which hopefully will be shared with any Internet users interested in or working in news.

24 hours in the life of a newsroomwas among the 14 applicants short-listed for the European Best of Business Awards 2013 in the category "Best Innovation".
