The documentary Tinndy has been selected for the International Amazigh Film Festival

Produced by Mostapha Khalifa as part of the Intajat Jadida project, Tinndy was screened at the 14th Issni N’Ourgh International Amazigh Film Festival (Festival Issni N’Ourgh international du Film Amazighe – FINIFA) from 7 to 11 December 2023 in Agadir (Morocco).

Mostapha Khalifa, the only Libyan participant in Intajat Jadida’s first cohort, is a staunch defender of the Tuareg identity. Tinndy, the name of which means “drum”, introduces us to Zalo, one of the last representatives of the music of the nomadic Tuaregs. Through this 11-minute documentary, Mostapha pays tribute to this endangered Sahrawi female art form.

In June 2023, Tinndy was awarded the Coup de Cœur (Judge’s Favourite) award by the competition panel for the best pilot in the first Intajat Jadida cohort. In July 2023, Libya Al Ahrar broadcast the documentary. Such international recognition is encouraging Mostapha to develop other production projects. Thus, in the coming months, he plans to make two more films on Tuareg musical art.

It is also great recognition of the work of CFI, whose Intajat Jadida project supports the innovation strategy of the audiovisual industries in Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia, contributing to the creation of creative, cultural and educational audiovisual content.
